OUR STORY
Our tallow is handcrafted with care in Marion, Louisiana, each product- a labor of love, created in small batches from beginning to end. We pride ourselves on ethically sourcing grass-fed suet from our own pastures and from neighboring local farms. Other organic ingredients are combined with the tallow, complementing, and elevating the quality of the product.
Our journey with tallow began after my daughters had taken interest in skincare products. It didn't take long to discover that many of these store-bought products were causing more harm than good, as the girls were suddenly battling with rashes and breakouts due to the toxic chemicals, dyes, artificial fragrances and preservatives in the products. Motivated by a love for natural solutions and a desire to provide a safer alternative to skincare for my family, I turned to something we had right on our farm - the suet from our cows; a byproduct of something we already had! By gently dry rendering it, my family now had a moisturizer that’s kind and safe to skin without the chemical laden toxins.
My name is Meghan Dixon
My passion for learning the ways of old and embracing the natural world began in 2014, when I first delved into the art of gardening. This initial step blossomed into a comprehensive lifestyle, encompassing everything from canning to raising our own meats, including chickens, pigs, and beef. This lifestyle then evolved into getting our first family milk cow where I began making my family butter, cheeses, and enjoying the wholesome goodness of raw milk.
I truly believe maintaining a lifestyle closest to God's design, in terms of nutrition and skincare, enhances our overall health. From day 1 we have prayed over these bottles before they make it into the hands of those who purchase them. Our prayer and ultimate hope is that these products meet whatever need it's purchased for.
Ethics guide my actions and choices, ensuring that each step taken is done with consideration for the greater good. This means prioritizing sustainable practices, and a dedication to quality that doesn't compromise on moral values. In sharing this journey with you, my goal is to not only offer something of value but to do so in a way that upholds principles of transparency, ethics, and goodness.
