Your Tallow Questions, Answered.

Does tallow balm have a smell?

We intentionally keep the scent of our products light to maintain a low essential oil dilution. While our tallow balm may have a subtle, aroma due to its natural origins, it's usually masked effectively by the essential oils we use.

How do I apply it?

Use it as you would any nighttime or daytime moisturizer! After you wash your face, apply a pea size amount to your skin and rub it in! A little goes a LONG way. If it feels heavy or greasy after application, too much has been applied.

What's the shelf life?

The shelf life can vary depending on storage conditions, but generally, it can last for up to 12 months. To maximize its shelf life, apply with clean, dry hands and keep the product in a cool, dark place, and ensure it is stored in an airtight container. Also, always use clean, dry hands when applying our balms. Introducing water into the container can create conditions for bacterial growth. Always check for any changes in smell or texture before use, as these can indicate spoilage.

Why is the texture different this time?

As you may already know, tallow is derived from rendered beef fat. These animals are vibrant, living components of nature, as unique as each of us. Consequently, every rendering process produces a distinctive texture. Any variations in texture or density do not compromise the quality or application of our balms. Feel free to use them as intended.
